What was your first creation?

My very first creation was in 1980, but that was within a company. My first item I created for Online selling was made in 2009. I was in Mexico, doing fabric dyeing classes with Quilters. Teaching them how to mix colours to achieve a shade close enough to the fabric that had just run out of for their quilts. I then started them on Stencil cutting and taught them how to stencil, which then led to them urging me to produce quilt blocks to sell. So I can't really remember the first one I did, but this is one I did at the time. See Attached.

What was your Favourite Sale?

A Woman emailed me and told me she liked my Turtle design, but wanted it in a different colour as it didn't match her colour scheme for her bathroom. I asked her what colours she wanted and then changed the design for her. She was so amazed and appreciative and I'd made her happy.. This made me happy. She sent me a photo of what she'd done with the towels for her bathroom. You can see by the photo's how I'd changed the colours. I should be getting pictures of the curtains sometime later this year. 
PS: I don't charge to change things. :-)

What New Items are you Making?

Well these days I design my fabrics on my computer and have them printed. Not because my fabric

dyeing and stencilling has anything wrong with it, but because it's less messy and I don't have to carry the Dyes, fabrics, stencils, brushes etc. I don't have the space for all that, so this way I still get to create. I do miss the mess though :-) There is nothing quite like getting dye all over your hands and feet and clothes.. fun!
